QUOTE WOOD BLOCKS

Hubby had some 2 x 4 left over so I decided to steal them and make these little quote blocks.
I had him cut them at different sizes starting with 8" for the bottom 7", 6" and ending with 5' for the top one. He then glued them in place so they would not shift. Spray painted them black and I went to work on creating the SCAL svg file to cut with my cutter.

I am sharing the file below but you will need SCAL (Sure cuts a lot)

Click below to get the svg SCAL file.

I love this next Quote block and it is a quote I made up. It just sounded right together.

12 x 12 NEW MONOGRAM TILES

I think monogram gifts are special gifts for any family. I have designed two new 12 x 12 monogram tiles using vector art from "My Vinyl Designer"

I combined several of their files along with my favorite fonts to get just the right design. These are perfect gifts for any home warming gift, newly married couple or just because.

The first photo I used the vector art "As for me and my house"
I added our family name and the date we were established as a family.

The second tile I used the "Alphabet 6" along with some filigree element to the inside of the H to give it a decorative look. I picked my favorite fonts and added the words at the top and to the bottom of the monogram along with our family name in the center.

The white vinyl really pops out on these tiles. I usually use black but decided this time to try the white and I love the effect.

PRIMITIVIE STARS

It is the start of the craft fair season and I just love this time of year. I love to see all the great creations and new ideas that come out each year. Primitive decor is starting to be a leading decor in most homes here in Northern Maine.

At one of the booths I came upon these adorable little stars tied together in a row. I new just what I wanted to do with them.

I took them home and went to work. They came painted with no vinyl sayings and had not been antiqued and that was the finished look I wanted. I loved the shape of theses stars as they are thick and have a slightly different shape than most of the primitive stars on the market. They also had a beveled edge that gave them a more 3 dimensional look.

I sanded the edges with a nail file to give it an antiqued or worn look and then added vinyl lettering. Hubby is going to make me some more so that I can give them as Christmas gifts this season to my Family and Friends.

I had just the perfect spot for them. when you first enter my home you see the stairs, so I wanted everyone see see that my home is BLESSED by GOD.

So now every time you first walk in you see my little stars and the blessings of my home.

I created this for our new home. It is to the right of my front door it measure 8" high x 23" wide.
I love working with my crisut machine. I am making all our camp signs for the campers here on St Froid Lake. There are 18 of us. Each sign will only have the last name of the camp owner. I will add a photo once it is completed.

Scroll of words - First SVG File

This is my first svg file I created using inkscape. You will need to have the program Sure Cuts A Lot from Craft Edge in order to be able to cut this on your Cricut machine. You can get the file HERE and import it into your Sure Cuts A Lot program. Now that I have learned to create these files I can't wait to see what else I can come up with.
