CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL ORNAMENT

I found some snowflake ornaments at Rite Aid that I just new would work perfect for my niece Ashlee Roses Memorial ornament. I added a tag to the front and back and tied some bows to complete the ornament. I also wanted a matching box to place the ornament in at the end of the year that I could put in a safe place. I added a bookmark on the back side of the box called "Christmas in Heaven Poem"

BOX MEASUREMENTS
Cut (1) from Red 10 3/8 x 6 3/4
score along the long side at 4", 5", 9", & 10"
turn and score 1"
I cut the center using my big kick and the large round scallop nestability

POEM
Merry Christmas from Heaven
Throughout the Christmas season,
Don’t fall into despair.
Relive the special times we shared…
I promise I’ll be there.

You’ll find me in the stories
Of loved ones who stop by.
I am the flickering candlelight.
My spirit did not die.

Continue with traditions,
And gather ‘round the tree,
I want you to be happy….
You were everything to me!

So, fill the house with warm thoughts,
And know that I’m a part,
Of all the joy of the season holds.
Here always in your heart

ASHLEE ROSE

I spent most of the afternoon today working on this frame stand and scrap page to be placed on it. I used Bazzil Card Stock and cut the Scroll Frame SCAL File I created 3 times. I adhered each layer with Crystal Effects to give it stability.

The flowers were created using my Cricut Cutter and the Cartridge Plantin Schoolbook that I also used to create the two stamped tags.

I stamped the butterfly's with a stampin up set I have and cut them out so that I could then add glimmer misting spray I made with my pearl ex, glue and water. I also misted the flowers to give them some glimmer.

MEMORIAL DVD HOLDER

This was by far the hardest project I have created as no matter what I came up with for a design just didn't seem to be right. I will be creating about 20 of these to give to my family members and a couple close friends. Our sweet angel ASHLEE ROSE SWAZEY is missed so much and no family should have to ever lay to rest a child. We are all trying to move on but it is so difficult as I think the world should just STAND STILL.

"WE MISS YOU ASHLEE ROSE OUR LITTLE DOE"

I inserted 2 small acrylic tags that are 4" and stamped them with stazon ink. They were created using  my cricut cutter.

MEASUREMENTS
Cut a piece of Cardstock 12 x 5 1/2 for the holder

ASHLEE ROSE SWAZEY

I know it has been awhile since I have made any post or new projects, but I lost my niece ASHLEE ROSE on Friday September 3, 2010 as she went home to the LORD at the tender age of 15. It was a horrific tragedy that took a life. A family should never have to lay to rest their child. The pain and heartache that goes along with such a loss is unbearable from the parents to the extended families.

I am hoping to get back into the routine of life which is very hard as I feel as thou LIFE needs to stand still due to this horrific loss.

Ashlee Rose was an AMAZING young lady who had a PASSION for life and lived it to the fullest. She was confidant in who she was and was never afraid to speak the truth. Ashlee told it as it was and we can all learn from that. Ashlee was a tender ROSE that had the softest petals surrounded by many thorns, but even with those thorns surrounding her she still blossomed to be a UNIQUE Young lady. Ashlee was a leader and was not easily influenced by her surroundings as she was one that STOOD out in a crowd. He contagious laughter would bring a smile to your face even when the toughest moments were upon you. She was a friend to many. She was a CHILD OF GOD and had a heart full of compassion for all those around her. She was an ANIMAL lover and would have rescued any and all animals if she could have.

I have created a memorial page for her at the link below. I know many have visited and are lighting candles for her.
