12 x 12 NEW MONOGRAM TILES

I think monogram gifts are special gifts for any family. I have designed two new 12 x 12 monogram tiles using vector art from "My Vinyl Designer"

I combined several of their files along with my favorite fonts to get just the right design. These are perfect gifts for any home warming gift, newly married couple or just because.

The first photo I used the vector art "As for me and my house"
I added our family name and the date we were established as a family.

The second tile I used the "Alphabet 6" along with some filigree element to the inside of the H to give it a decorative look. I picked my favorite fonts and added the words at the top and to the bottom of the monogram along with our family name in the center.

The white vinyl really pops out on these tiles. I usually use black but decided this time to try the white and I love the effect.

VINTAGE RECIPE BOX

I took my recipe box tutorial I wrote and decided to step it up to add some new features. I am always searching for my conversion charts, measurements and cooking temps. I decided to add them all to the recipe box so I have them right in front of me at all times.

The top of the lid has 4 pull out tags with abbreviations, and measurements conversions to refer to when I need them.

The back side of the box has more conversion charts for tablespoons and ounces to ml.

The inside lid has cooking temperatures for cooking foods at just the right temperature.

There are 12 dividers and 50 recipe cards. I created the recipe cards in Microsoft word along with the labels for the dividers

You can purchase the finished recipe box while supplies last at my Etsy store or you can make your own and design your own style by purchasing my instructions at my Craftsy pattern site.

RECIPE GIFT GIVING

I wanted to come up with an idea to give out to my friends during the Holiday season that was to do with sharing some great pie & Casserole recipes, so I made a casserole & pie carrier that will hold a pie pate or casserole dish. I then took it a step further and created a matching Paper Bag full of the dry ingredients to be used in the recipe. The carrier fits a 9” pie plate or the 1 ½ -2 quart casserole dish.

The original pattern was in Quick Quilts#177 magaizne "ALL WRAPPED UP" (there are many tutorials out there) It calls for a 26" x 26" square but it was to big for what I wanted so that is why I came up with the 17x17 as it fit better for the sizes I was doing. The original tutorial did not call for stabilizer so I added it for stability. The matching bag is made out of a brown paper bag. I cut card stock out to fit the back and front although the back is larger to form the top flap.
The recipe is placed on the back so that it can be kept once you use all the ingredients

THE FREE INSTRUCTIONS

Cut (1) for outside print17 x 17
Cut (1) for Outside print 17 x 17
Cut 1 from Firm Stabilizer 17 x 17
Place right sides together and then place the stabilizer to one of the sides
Sew all together on 3 full sides, on the 4th side leave a 3.5" opening for turning
Turn right sides out, press all 4 sides and then sew 1/4 inch round all 4 sides
To create the handles you will cut (2) 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 blocks you will then press two sides 1/4" in
Now fold the other two open end wrongs sides together and press
Open and press again each end into the middle pressed part
(The steps for the handles are done like you would create bias just a thicker bias)
This will create the short carrier loops for the handle to come through

Sew the two short pieces to a corner opposite of each other. I pinned it 1/2 in from the edge

Now to create the handle you will cut one 5 1/2 x 17 and do the same thing you just did with the short loops like you are creating bias.
Sew the long handle to the two other opposite sides. I pinned it 1/2 down from the top point of the corner.

I HOPE THE ADDITIONAL PICTURE HELP :-)

GIFT TILE ENSEMBLE 2

This is the 2nd gift tile ensemble I created today for one of my sisters.
I created the cute little 3 1/5 x 3 1/5 card to be placed on top of the box once it was all tied up. I entered the card into this weeks challenge over at FRIDAY SKETCHERS challenge # 125

GIFT TILE ENSEMBLE

I wanted to create a gift box with a matching card to place my 4x4 tile coasters I made for my sister Crystal. I designed the tiles in SCAL2 and cut them with my cricut cutter. I had bought a box of tiles that were on clearance for .10 each a tile. What a great deal this turned into. With Thanksgiving around the corner I thought making these for my sisters would be a great idea.

This is the small 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 card I made to be placed on the top of the box once the ribbon was tied around the box. I entered this card into MOJO MONDAY #162, Sketch Challenge # 162

The card fits perfectly to the top of the box. I will be creating many of these for the upcoming holiday season. These would also be great to make for craft fairs.

I love this cute little nugget gift bag. The picture does not do it any justice.

This was created for my 20 Days of Gift Giving Workshop and will make a great table setting piece or party favors.

I will be creating these in a Thanksgiving style for my table ensamble that will be placed at every place setting for my Family & Freinds.

RECIPE BOX

What a perfect to give any cooker as a gift set. Maybe just to say thank you.
Include some of your favorite recipes to share with them.
I used a retired Stampin up recipe card set to creat this ensemble but you can easily creat your cards and labels in word to be printed out.

This was created as a gift for a friend for Christmas. I love swapping recipes and this is a perfect way to begin.

Friendship Blossom Ensamble Gift set

I created this gift set to give to a special friend at Christmas time. I like to personalize my gifts to those that are very close to me so that they know that I truly appreciate everything they do for me. I took a plain colored bag and decorated it with card stock designer paper from DCWV paper packs. I then created my boxes and added the friendship poem listed below.

“FRIENDSHIP BOX”
I took an ordinary box
As empty as can be
I filled it with a special gift
And wrapped it carefully

But please don't ever open it
Just leave the ribbon tied
And hold it tightly near your heart
Because our friendship is inside!

Red Christmas snowman soup

Snow Flake snowman soup gift sets

Supplies & Material:

Stamps: CTMH Bundled Up, Let it snow, and Sensational Seals
Paper: Stampin Up Pink Passion, Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White
Embellishments: ribbon, brads
Accessories: Scallope punches 1 1/4 and 1 1/2

SNOWMAN SOUP FOR TWO PACKETS INSTRUCTIONS

I created the snowman soup packets for two from the 6x6 scrapbook page inserts. I cut the card stock 6 x 9 and scored it at 3 inches length wise. I then folded it over at the score line. I placed the card stock in the page insert to create my pouch and added the two packets of hot coco, two cany canes and packets of miniture marshmellows to complete the set. I then closed it by tying ribbon around it and finished it off with stamped images and the snowman soup poem below.

SNOWMAN SOUP
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!
