COZY BLUE RAG QUILT

These warm blues make for a comfy and cozy rag quilt. The flannel Fabric was purchased at "Mardens for $3.99 a yard. That was such a great bargain.

This one was made for me to wrap up in on the very cold days here in Northern Maine. I have been making these for a couple years now and just think they are the perfect gift for any age.

This one was made with the instructions below.

I use Microsoft excel to design most of my quilts. It is the easiest program to use as you can import the actual picture of the fabric you want to use right into it and the cost is cheap as excel is FREE on most computers today.

INSTRUCTIONS
This is a 6 x 8 - 9 1/2 square pattern
3 coordinating fabric prints -A, B & C
9 1/2 x 9 1/2 cutting square
Cut Out the following from each print
Print A - Light blue cross hatch - 16 squares
Print B - Blue Daisy Print - 16 squares
Print C - Dark Blue Floral - 16 Squares
Arrange them in the order below
sew them together with a 1/2 seam
trim about every 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch on all edges to create the raw edge
Wash the fabric to get the fraying started
I then use a sweater shaver to get all the lint off

Play around with the squares and arrange them in different ways. HAVE FUN
