I wanted to create just the right hat for Valentines day and I think I got it. This is a perfect hat that works up pretty fast.
The three little roses are made with a very simple rose pattern that gives it a full look or you can make it looser for a less fuller look.

ROSE INSTRUCTIONS
After playing with several stitches to create the perfect rose for this hat, below is the one I came up with that works the best.
With the red yarn chain as many as you want. The more you chain the bigger the rose will be in width.
For this hat I did two sizes.
Rose 1
Chain 21
In second chain from hook - hdc one, dc one in stitch
Repeat this in each stitch to the end to the end. Leave a long tail for sewing the rose together
Once you have all stitches completed roll the crochet row you just made to form rose. This is where you can roll it tight or loose to get the desired look. Sew the rose together.
Rose 2
Chain 15
In second chain from hook - dc one, tr one in stitch
Repeat this in each stitch to the end to the end. Leave a long tail for sewing the rose together
Construct the rose the same as rose 1
Play around with stitches and size of chains to get smaller or bigger roses for the type of project you are working on.
