MOMMY AND ME SWEET TREAT CROCHET HATS

I seem to gravitate to this pattern that I created for my super bulky yarn by Lion Brand. It works up fast and you can add any edge you want. They are extremely warm, soft and cuddly.

MATERIALS

Brown - Lion Brand Super Bulky - Brown

Pink - Deborah Norville Chunky-  Lilac Chiffon

Crochet hook - L

ADULT PATTERN

Start with a magic circle

Rnd 1) 8 hdc in circle

Rnd 2) ch1, 2 hdc in each stitch (16) 

Rnd 3) ch1, 2 hdc in same stitch as joining, hdc in next stitch, *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch* (repeat in between from *to* to the end) (24)

Rnd 4) ch 1, 2 hdc in same stitch as joining, hdc in next two stitches, *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next two stitches* (repeat *to end) (32)

Rnd 5) ch 1, 2 hdc in same stitch as joining, hdc in next three stitches, *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next three stitches* (repeat *to end) (40)

Rnd 6) ch 1, 2 hdc in same stitch as joining, hdc in next four stitches, *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next four stitches* (repeat *to end) (48)

Rnd 7 - 11) ch 1, hdc in same as joining, hdc in each stitch around. (48)

12-13)  Join Cream, hdc in each stitch around. (48)

14) ch 1, *sc in same as joining, skip next st, 4 sc in next stitch, skip next st*, *repeat to end, finish off.

To make it longer add the extra rows before you change the color

TO MAKE A CHILDS SIZE START OUT THE SAME AS ABOVE BUT ONLY MAKE THE INITIAL CIRCUMFERANCE TO TEH SIZE YOU NEED FOR A CHILD.
